Review: The New UK Cheap Replica Patek Philippe Cubitus Ref. 7128/1R-001 Watches

Patek Philippe Cubitus Ref. 7128/1R-001
This year, two new Cubitus references were introduced to further refine the collection: the Ref. 7128/1R and Ref. 7128/1G. These newcomers resemble the Ref. 5821 in design and functionality, but, importantly, are 5 mm smaller. Of the two novelties, it is the buy replica Patek Philippe Cubitus Ref. 7128/1R watches that is most evocative with its brown-on-gold aesthetics.

The Case, Dial, and Hands
From a case design perspective, the Ref. 7128/1R is virtually identical to that of the pioneering Ref. 5821. The obvious differences are in the material used and size. The Ref. 5821 comes in stainless steel and two-tone, while the Ref. 7128/1R is crafted in rose gold. Importantly the Ref. 7128/1R is 5mm smaller, at only 40mm (measured from 10 to 4 o’clock). A difference of 5mm may seem insignificant on paper, but is a game changer in reality. A simple reduction in size changes the aura of the Cubitus, from assertive to complementary, from sporty to refined. Moreover, at 40mm, the best fake Patek Philippe watches becomes wearable across wrist sizes. The best part is that the Ref. 7128/1R retains its presence on the wrist despite being smaller. No one is going to miss a full rose gold Cubitus for as far as the eye can see.

The dial of the Ref. 7128/1R is rendered in sunburst brown. It matches the rosy warmth of the case and bracelet, as well as the baton-style hour markers and hands. The overall design – with key elements including the horizontal embossed pattern and the date window at 3 o’clock – is otherwise identical to the Ref. 5821.

The Movement
Driving the perfect copy Patek Philippe Cubitus Ref. 7128/1R watches is the familiar 219-part, 30-jewel Calibre 26-330 S C. This is the same movement used in the first Cubitus references (Ref. 5821/1A and Ref. 5821/1AR), as well as the latest Nautilus Ref. 5711s, the Calatrava Ref. 5226G and the Aquanaut Luce, among others. Quite evidently, the Calibre 26-330 S C is the brand’s go-to contemporary time-and-date movement. It has a power reserve of 35-45 hours and operates at a modern 4Hz frequency. The highlight of this relatively new movement over its predecessors is the presence of hacking seconds functionality, a fact that never fails to surprise the uninitiated.

In terms of finissage, standards are high as usual. Visible through the sapphire crystal case back are Geneva waves on bridges, polished bevels and screw heards, perlage, and gold-filled engravings. The obvious difference in finishing seen on the Calibre 26-330 S C compared to other Patek calibres has to do with the surface of the gold central rotor. The horizontal motif here is in stark contrast to the more commonly utilised circular waves. This design – specific for the Cubitus – complements the model’s heavy use of lines and angles and is reminiscent of its embossed dial.

The Competitive Landscape
The Cubitus Ref. 7128/1R sits in a nice niche where it is neither a dress top super clone Patek Philippe watches UK nor a sports watch. It’s too elegant or sporty to be one over the other. Armed with its ‘Patek Philippe’ branding and the novelty of the Cubitus collection, the Ref. 7128/1R will have no trouble finding suitors. The Cubitus is not free from criticism, but in a vacuum the Ref. 7128/1R remains a charming timepiece crafted at the highest level. It is a permanent addition to Patek Philippe’s catalogue and is priced at USD80,346.

The closest competitor to the Cubitus Ref. 7128/1R is perhaps the equally new A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus in Honey-gold. Both AAA fake watches share a similar level of craftsmanship, elegance and colour palette. There are notable differences of course. For one, the Odysseus is rendered in proprietary honey-gold that looks like a washed-out albeit beautiful variation of rose gold. The Odysseus also features a day display in addition to the date. While the Cubitus has the more impressive case and bracelet in terms of craftsmanship, the movement of the Odysseus reigns supreme in the same regard. The Odysseus in Honey-gold is limited to 100 pieces only and is thought to be priced at around the 100,000 Euro mark (price upon request).

For something more shapely, look no further than the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Automatic in sanblasted rose gold. Obviously, the Cubitus and Octo aren’t twins but they do share some resemblance. Both Swiss super clone Patek Philippe watches are on bracelets, have octagonal cases, are rendered in rose gold, and have dials that match their cases in warmth. The Octo, however, is time-only and doesn’t come close to the level of finissage afforded to the Cubitus. But at USD48,800, just over half the price of the Cubitus, there won’t be many complaints. The Octo is a gorgeous icon in itself – and in full rose gold, it does not get more striking and assertive.

Concluding Thoughts
Love it or hate it, the Cubitus is here to stay, and it will likely be a long term commercial success as most things Patek Philippe go. While there is nothing earth-shattering about the Ref. 7128/1R’s mechanics or design, taken alone, it is still a gorgeous 1:1 replica watches that plays to the brand’s strength in case manufacturing and finissage. I am looking forward to bolder designs in the future, perhaps one in full yellow gold (which really isn’t asking too much). The introduction of a highly complicated Cubitus model would also do wonders to the collection’s credibility.
